Researching L-19A Airframe History

Does anyone have information about the battle history of one L-19A that we believe served in Korea?  Details follow:

1951 Delivered to US forces in Japan and assembled.

L-19A


SN21096


Army #50-1422


The bird is still flying today and we are trying to track its history.

Looking for Pilot that crashed 12 Oct 1967,
Downed six kilometers NW of Tan Uyen.
Severe wounds transported to Lie Khe Hospital.
I know of my time in RVN that I did help people but
this has been special to me and something I just can't
get out of my mind.

He was in bad shape the wing broke forward causing the windshield to fracture and slicing his face, his legs were
also broken and pinned by the controls.

As I get older this gets to
me more and more I am just looking for a little peace of mind that
I did help a fellow Aviator>
