I was with Eddie through 67N20 school at Ft Eustis. He had been in the National Guard.
Three of us, Me, Pete Kovich and Eddie were pretty jazzed when we were assigned to the 101st ABN
We were assigned to the 101st Assault helicopter Bn, me to A Co, they to B Co.
Not long after we arrived at Camp Eagle, Peter came to my company and told me that Eddie's ship landed on a booby-trapped hilltop, there was an explosion and the ship rolled over on Eddie's side and burned. He was unable to escape.
