I looking for information on 2Lt. George E. Polk. Army Air Crews Listing shows a 2Lt. George E. Polk was killed in an accident on 27 Apr. 71 in a TH55 accident at Ft. Wolters, TX. I was a CE in 1966 in Viet Nam with a SP6 George E. Polk and saw him at Ft. Rucker when I graduated from flight school. He said he had been accepted to WO flight school. I graduated in Aug. 1968. I'm wondering if this is the same George Polk. Thanks Roy

Roy,
By the dates, I would tend to think that it is not the same George Polk. The George Polk listed on the website died at the age of 23, which would make him 18 in 1966. However, would it have been possible for him to be an E-6 at that age? Also, the George Polk on the website crash listing is from Philadelphia, PA.

Thanks for the answer, I guess I'll have to look some more. I agree about the age. George was a lot older than me in 66 and I was 24 at the time. Thanks again. Roy
