This brings the number of deaths to six service members. Eleven U.S. service members were on board the aircraft, four U.S. Army soldiers as the crew and seven U.S. Air Force Airmen passengers. The names of the victims are being withheld until notification of next of kin has been completed. When appropriate, names will be released by the individual services. This was a training flight which also afforded Airmen the opportunity to gain a better understanding of joint operations and to perform a reenlistment ceremony. Further information will be provided as soon as it becomes available.
