This message is to address what I believe to be a mixup between 2 accident narratives that occurred at different dates but the same Squadron. 16 Dec 1985 ( i think the date of the accident is in error also it was around 1981), AH-1 (4-7 Cav), CW3 Cochran & CPT Edson(Flight Surgeon) were on an orientation flight ..it was suspected at that time to have been a SCAS failure or inadvertent disconnect at high speed which caused the F model (brand new at the time)cobra to roll inverted and of course nose down into the ground resulting in the 30g impact ..i was a crew chief at 128th Aviation at Uijongbu on staff duty the day of the accident. The other accident narrative for 2 Nov 79 WO1 Steele and CW2 Crump i am not familiar with but i am sure neither of the warrant officers were performing flight surgeon duties or qualified as such as the narrative states...if you could check the accuracy of my finding it would be appreciated..thnks for the rememberances of our buddies and for the work you guys put into it...flying is our passion..nuff said
