I have heard of several accounts of the shot down and crash of CPT Keith Bryant in Cobra 68-15077. I don't understand the accounts of the aircraft becomming a "ball of fire" and crashing on it's right side. I was with him that day on his wing and heard the call of engine out and lost hydralics and well as Keith's final statement " I'm dead". The aircraft hit the ground with low rotor RPM and the blades then came off pretty much in tact still on the mast along the left side of the aircraft. The aircraft began to burn from the right side and then was engulfed in flames. The canopies were never opened and no one was visible inside. I become very skeptical of anyone who says the aircraft hit the already in flames.
