I watched a short video about this accident and heard an audio recreation of what the crew had said before the crash.
Basically they lost #1 ENG like what is stated on the site.... however the crew chief in the rear called out an engine fire (can't remember which side) which seemed to have panicked the pilot who incorrectly pulled the good and still working #2 ENG power control lever back to off. So they basically lost lift and fell.
I believe they still had single engine hover capability and could have easily made a safe landing but in the confusion of the moment cut off the wrong engine.
