I'm confused about the loss of MAJ Shane N. SOLDATO who is listed on my Special Forces Losses website at www.sfahq.com/reg .

Your site shows him lost twice.

1. Shot down by RPG on 23 May 1970 aboard B/158AVN #68-15628 in Quang Tri Prov.

2. Aboard B/158AVN #68-15663 and mid-air between it and #66-16707 during smoke mission on 06 May 1970.

Any clarification would be appreciated.

The 23MAY70 shoot down is the correct one. I will be taking his name off the other listing. Thanks for the note about the error.
