Need some help here....
A local museum here in Kansas has acquired a UH-1H. They intend to restore it to look like it is flyable for static display at veteran and community events. A/C will not be flown, won't even be in flyable condition but they want it to look like it is. They need help in acquiring some missing parts. If anyone knows of any POC's at "Mother Rucker" or wherever that might be able to help please shoot me and email at lance.mccune@usar.army.mil
They are also interested in finding out the history of the old bird. It looks like it is an old school bird (orange doors) #65-09799...once again, if anyone knows of a way to trace it that would be awesome.
Thanks much...fly safe out there!!!

If the doors are orange it was most likely a Rucker flight school bird at the end of its career. The have had 50+ old girls sitting out at Lowe AAF waiting for a home. I believe you could probably get the historicals from Lowe or the civilian maintenance contractor which I believe is now L-3. www.l-3vertex.com/news_release/afs_jv_final.pdf
