I flew with Chief Warrant Officer Graves with the 25th Infantry Division, 5th of the 9th Air Cavalry in Wheeler Army airfield, Hawaii. I was a Aerial Observer in an OH-58 hunter killer team with Mr. Graves when he was a Cobra pilot. He was a great guy and a great pilot. Ilearned of his death thru this website and was devastated to see his name here. What a great man.

I served with WO1 George Graves during my time as a 68J at Camp Stanton from 1981-82. He was a great down to earth pilot who never lost track of the fact that as a former enlisted member himself, he truly valued the hard work employed by the weapons technicians and crew chiefs. The irony, just 30 minutes ago I was looking at some old photos and have one of him catching some stick time in a UH-1 at Camp Stanton. Great guy to know!

Just joined, and I too knew George Graves from my days at Ft Lewis Wa. 3-5 Air Cav. He is among those that I had looked up to and decided to apply for WOFT. Well My hat is off to George and his family, I know without any doubt he is missed. Great person, always willing to help others.
