The aircraft was chalk two in the second serial of three 60's inserting 82nd ABN troopers into a LZ about 25 miles SW of Baghdad. The night in question was a 0% illum night with little to no wind into heavy dust. The crash occurred on landing when the aircrew didn't pick up the right lateral drift that was happening. When the collective was lowered it took all of a second before the aircraft had rolled over. Five of the troopers admitted to unbuckling their seatbelts before landing.
