Stationed in Hawaii in the early 80's. Last know duty station was on the West Coast in the mid-eighties.

Not sure if this helps, but there was an Emerick in our National Guard unit in Sacramento in the late 80's early 90's. (126th medevac) Tall thin cute kid...very nice. I think he was enlisted and then went to flight school and came back to the unit....or had graduated from college and was commissioned. Not sure because I was out by then. I believe he went to Bosnia with the unit in 98. He got married and I believe had one or two kids and lived in the Sacramento area somewhere.

opsgal,
Thank you for the reply. The person you describe is different than the Shane Emerick that I'm looking for. However, I appreciate you taking the time to respond. The search continues...

For what it's worth: No joy on AKO look-up for Shane (as first or middle) Emerick.

DustoffALSE,
Thanks for checking AKO. Would you mind checking for a Shannon Emerick. Thanks in advance for your help.

I am looking for my dad, Shane Emerick. He was stationed in Hawaii and I went to visit him in 83 there. He was married to a lady named Tami at the time. He is an attorney now and last I heard he was living in Henderson, NV. His real name is Shannon. It sounds like the same person so let me know if you here anything on his whereabouts.

Knew someone in Salem, OR who married a Shane Emerick. They were both deputy DAs for Clark County, think she still is. Shane left a number of years ago to be a public defender. Should be easy to find. Wife's name is Laura Rehfeldt. If he is your dad, hope you make contact and all goes well.

I was with B Co 25th AVN BN (general Support) 1983-86. Schofield Barracks (WheelerAFB. now AAF). While approach to LZ to pick up 25th ID CDR in UH1 along river (Korea-Team Spirit) bank aircraft struck commo type shoestring wire, severed push/pull tubes, uncontrolled hard impact landing. All three crew Sgt Tilley Moracco, CW4 Bob Stroud and Shane sustained back injuries and were Medivac to Yongson. They recovered, returned to Hawaii. Lost track of my buddies 1986ish. Saw CW4 Stroud at camp Irwin a few years later. Might know someone still in touch with Shane. Hope may help. Aloha, Gus.

CWO Shane Emerick has sadly passed away. His obituary is online. I have fond memories of serving with him in the Army in mid 80s, along with Brian Hudson and Gus, Stroud and many others mentioned here. Guys, Feel free to contact me. BillAtwood@me.com
