Two Injured in Afghanistan Apache Helicopter Crash

WASHINGTON, July 29, 2005 – Two crewmembers were injured today when a U.S. military AH-64 Apache helicopter crashed during a training mission on a range near Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan, Combined Forces Command Afghanistan officials reported.
Hostile fire is not suspected in the incident, officials said. U.S. forces have secured the crash site and are conducting an investigation.

The injured crewmembers are being treated at the base. No report was immediately available on their condition.

I'll see what I can find out. As far as injuries, the pilot walked away with bumps and bruises and CPG was medevaced to Germany with fractures.

Thanks. I believe 2-6 Cav is there right now but haven't been able to get a hold of any of the guys I know there.

1LT St. George - still recovering and will most likely never fly again

I apologize for that junk that those guys put in every so often. I try to keep those deleted as fast as they can post it, but at this point I'm the only moderator that can delete them.
