Two Apache Helicopters Damaged at Fort Rucker FORT RUCKER, Ala. - The U.S. Army Aviation Center confirmed that two AH-64D Apache Longbow helicopters were damaged during routine training this morning at Hooper Stagefield. The aircraft were being used for pilot aircraft qualification training, with a crew of two on board each aircraft, when they collided. All four crewmembers are being treated and will be released from local hospitals with no reported serious injuries. Initial estimates classify the incident as a Class "A" accident. A Class "A" accident indicates damage in excess $1 million. The AH-64D is valued at approximately $25 million by post officials. The cause of the accident is under investigation by Army safety officials.

I'm here going through flight school right now, and actually a third acft was damaged due to catching rotor blade debris. Word from he IPs was that one landed on the other one.

HMMM does anyone know the history of 98-05079 then??? I was told that it was one of the above pictured aircraft.

Aircraft crashed in trees. Reported damage to main rotor system, tail boom, and tail rotor. Two minor injuries.
