I believe your website has an error relative to the midair collision of two Huey helicopters on 28 May 1965, in Bien Hoa Province. At the time, I was a Section Leader in the 3rd Platoon (Bandits), 118th AHC; one of the two aircraft was from my section. Also, I believe both aircraft were from the 118th AHC; not one from the 114th AHC, as reflected in the website. The aircraft from my Platoon was flown by CW2 Piper, the Aircraft Commander; he was giving a check ride to a newly assigned pilot, 1LT Childers. CPT Fillers, a 1LT at the time, was also assigned to the 118th AHC. Also, my personal dairy notes reflect the midair collision occurred on Thursday, 27 May 1965; the remains of both aircraft landed within the confines of the Bien Hoa airbase, close to the Bandit platoon parking area. Reference my earlier submission concerning an error in your display of the midair collision facts of two UH-1's on 28 May 1965 in Vietnam. I see you've made the change to reflect both aircraft were from the 118th AHC; thanks! However, you are now displaying the "wrong" insignia; please change the insigina to reflect the appropriate 118th AHC insignia! Thanks, Col (Ret) Joe Newsome
