Is there any word on the cause of the 1-82 ATK crash on 5 Nov.
The unit replaced us in Iraq in Sep 06 and I'm curious of the cause.

I have not heard anything as of yet, except that it was an accident. As soon as I receive details, it will be updated on the listing.

Two 82nd Airborne Division Soldiers were killed when an AH-64D crashed on 6 November 2006 at 0115 local in Iraq. The 42-year-old CW4 and 24-year-old CW2 were in the lead of a two-ship night combat mission when their aircraft impacted the ground during a turn. The flight was returning to home base, reportedly due to deteriorating weather conditions. A post-crash fire ensued and both crewmembers suffered fatal injuries.
