Army helicopter has `hard landing'
FORT BRAGG, N.C. - Its two crew members suffered minor injuries Thursday when a reconnaissance and attack helicopter had a "hard landing" Thursday at an Army airfield, the military said.
The incident occurred about 3 p.m. at the airfield at Camp Mackall, a part of the Fort Bragg military reservation. The OH-58D Kiowa Warrior is assigned to the 1st Battalion, 82nd Aviation Brigade.
Crew members were taken to Womack Army Medical Center at Fort Bragg and listed in stable condition, according to a statement from the 82nd Airborne Division.
