A reliable source indicates the aircraft were OH-58s of B Troop, 6th Squadron, 10th CAB.

I'm not sure if you guys are aware of it, but a friend of phils started a remembrance on facebook. you can find it by searching the groups under phils name. i am truly impressed with the aviation community, my hats off to you all.

Phil was the best. He was great husband, father, friend and pilot. We will miss his laugh and smile.
