Like the title implies, this may sound cold, but it certainly not intended to dishonor one of our fallen brothers.
The 17 Jul 07 incident listed on the UH-60 page does not really seem to fall in line with the traditional listings of the site.

The site is ArmyAircrews, and by that title, the unfortunate ones to meet an end along with those crews are distinguished further by being listed as part of an incident.
The listing of an honorable trooper who was departing the helicopter and was shot simply does not fit, and I beleive it should be removed.
If that is the direction the site wants to move, then there are plenty of "chance" happenings that link others to crews, such as freindly fire incidents, other PAX killed maybe just slightly off the aircraft etc.

Great work by a tremendous research team, and a great delivery of the infomation, but lets rein it in a bit.

Admin...also my kudos for a great site and timely research.

Your post and the enclosed link goes to a statement which seems to actually concur with the posting which began this thread.
I have to say, I honestly agree that the aforementioned "incident" should not be included on the site, as your posting in the link above seems to agree with.

Regrettably, we cannot include EVERY single loss of our brothers in arms on this website, and until there is such a site we have to focus on our flying brothers which is what makes this site so popular within the small Army Aviation Community.

"Blackhawk100301"..I did not interpret any disrespect for anyone in the initial post, but maybe I am reading it wrong.
"Another guest"...lighten up, man.

Perhaps I should have clarified the statement in the link to How May be Listed on this website.

Obviously whenever any crewmember is killed while the aircraft is operating will be listed herein. Likewise, any PAX that is killed while "onboard" the aircraft will be listed. In instances when the PAX departs the aircraft on an assault mission and is subsequently killed, they will not be listed. There are several other websites that list these casualties. This action in no way demeans their sacrifice.

Likewise, I do not list any aviation crewmember deaths due to enemy ground fire/accident while not operating any aircraft. This would tremendously increase the listings twofold. The information that I provide on this website is not only meant to pay respects to our fallen aviation comrades, but hopefully to point out the various types of accidents and to hopefully avoid future ones of the same nature. Those of us that serve or have served in this capacity know all to well the inherent risks of flying.

I have had instances where some family members of PAX killed while on an A/C found more information listed on this website than they received during their official notification. I would hope to continue to help these families and friends find this information expeditiously. :D
